How To Make Money by Freelancing, Staff Writing, and Advertising - Blogging Part 6

Freelancing and staff writing are two other great ways to make money blogging.

You'll still need a blog to break these lines of work. Think of being an artist - you should be able to showcase your work and portfolio. Your blog lets other people find you and review your work.

I know many personal finance bloggers who write thousands of dollars per month for other websites.

To begin, you have to decide on your way to any job. Your first jobs you might have to do for $ 20- $ 30 per article. Then you charge a little more. Then a little more. Then a little more. Some personal finance employee writers have ordered $ 500 more per article.

My friend Stephanie O'Connell (I gave an interview on my show episode 028) did his job with $ 20 and $ 30 articles to write six figures per year for major media outlets and Fortune 500 companies.

Sponsored posts

At some point, you will contact the email (via email) to write a sponsored post and keep it on your blog.
They give you money; They write posts, and you add it to your website.

Why would anyone do that? To get your product or service in front of your blog visitors' eyes.
Posts can be a product review, or some links may be included back to your company's website. They want to gain access to any newsletter you send and include advertising.

There may be several types of sponsored content on your website.

Warning: Be very careful with the sponsored content that you accept. If you start putting irrelevant or the following products and services in front of them, then you run the risk of losing your audience.

I have made my sale as a 'Personal Sales Specialist' by not having 'Sales'. I do not accept ad revenue or sponsored content from any company offering financial services or products.

  • Number one - it prevents any conflict of interest.
  • Number two - my readers and show listeners trust me.

That faith makes loyalty. When I mention a product or service, my listeners and readers know that I am not trying to earn them money quickly. Long term business is more financially valuable than any short-term benefit. Apart from this, I look for my audience - they are more important to me than money.

It seems counterintuitive, but if you or a company puts people on profit, you earn more in profits for long periods of time. Do not you want your cell phone provider or cable TV company to think this way?

Display advertising

I'm sure that you've seen ads on websites first - right? Your blog may also include advertisements. You get paid when certain ads are shown on your blog or when someone clicks the ad.
Adding a display ad to your website is another easy and easy way to make money. The more visitors you visit on your site, the more you can do.

There are several sources of display advertising:

• Google Adsense

You can sign up with any of these services. Includes tutorials and instructions on how to advertise on your blog.

All of these services are free to sign up.

Adsense (Google Adsense) is the largest. This is an ad placement service by Google. The program is for website publishers and bloggers who want to display targeted text, video or image ads on website pages, and site visitors want to earn money on seeing or clicking the ad.

My two cents

I'm going to give you two cents about display advertising - I do not like it.
It is my opinion that the ads are away from the actual value of your website - whatever your message is. I think the ads are getting distracted. Ads also slow down your website.

The speed of the website is important. If your blog is busy loading ads, your visitor can never leave your blog to read.
You have to hit the balance between making money with ads, keeping your site clean and maintaining website speed.

Yes, you can earn money by display advertising on your blog. If you are just beginning, then you should try to get a crowd to make your first few bucks and earn money.
Other ways to make money other than ads And your visitors will love you for it.
And definitely do not be afraid to say no.

I stopped advertising for all types of products of steaks, diamonds, and investments. I get occasional emails Why would I want to advertise steaks?
But if Ruth wants to advertise with me, then maybe I will not put them down (my favorite steak place).

Action items
1. Choose a strategy to earn money If you try to choose each strategy, then it is trying to target five different goals at the same time. You'll miss them all. Focus on one at a time. Affiliate income is the easiest to start (and free).

2. Sign up for a free Google Adsense account, I do not want to discourage you from advertising on your blog. Try Adsense. Even if you are not taking advertising on your site, you can still see it and get acquainted with it.
